Simon Hopkin

Simon came to Layer 7 after nearly twenty years with a managed services provider, where he took security from a single service line and grew it into a full practice. In that time he worked with just about every kind of organisation, from small businesses putting their first foundations in place to large enterprises managing complex estates and serious compliance demands.

As Head of Cyber Security, he leads the delivery of Layer 7's security services, from strategy and consultancy through to technical solutions and assurance. Whether he is helping a board set direction or sitting with engineers working through the technical detail, the question he keeps coming back to is a simple one: will this actually make the organisation more secure, and will it still be working long after we have finished?
