Chris founded Layer 7 in 2010 with a single purpose: keep the systems that matter secure, and help the organisations that run them prove it. Sixteen years later the focus is unchanged. Secure, assure and manage, done to one standard.

As CEO he sets the bar the company recruits, reviews and promotes against: hire carefully, refuse work the team can't do well, and tell clients the truth even when it isn't what they hoped to hear. That discipline is why Layer 7 has spent over a decade trusted with government-grade and regulated-industry security.

He leads a team of CREST-registered testers and engineers delivering CREST penetration testing, Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 assurance, and continuous managed security across the UK public and private sectors.

Chris is a member of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, the 100th livery company of the City of London.
